Jason Barham is the Founder and CEO of Solid Ground Security Solutions (SGSS), which he established in 2012 with a vision to build a family-oriented business that treats both employees and clients with respect, trust, and care. Under his leadership, SGSS has grown into a multi-million-dollar security firm, providing trusted security services across East and Middle Tennessee. The company has also been recognized as one of the Top Workplaces in the Greater Knoxville Area, a testament to its positive culture and commitment to excellence.
Mr. Barham brings over 25 years of law enforcement experience from an internationally accredited agency, where he served in both operational and supervisory roles. His career encompassed a broad range of responsibilities including patrol, tactical operations, investigations, crime prevention, threat and vulnerability assessments, and support services. Among his notable achievements, Mr. Barham oversaw law enforcement operations for one of the Southeast United States' largest open-air public entertainment events—ensuring the safety of thousands of attendees and numerous high-profile performers and celebrities.
He also has extensive experience in curriculum development related to criminal justice, crime prevention, and proprietary security, and has served as an instructor at both the high school and collegiate levels.
Mr. Barham holds a Master’s degree in Justice Administration, a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management, and an Associate of Science in Public Safety, along with numerous professional certifications from the State of Tennessee. Over the course of his career, he has been recognized with several commendations and awards, including Officer of the Year.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mr. Barham is actively involved in community service. He is the founder of a not-for-profit organization and is a proud alumnus of Leadership Blount. Jason’s ultimate purpose is to serve Christ with the things that have been entrusted to him.
